Desiraju Hanumanta Rao's prose rendering with embedded explanatory notes
The source lists the customary duties (guru kaaryaaNi) a true disciple owes their mantra-teacher: fetching food, preparing the bed, and massaging the guru's tired legs (paada samvaahana) -- noting Rama performs these same duties for his own father at 1.18.28. It also clarifies an ambiguity in the narration: although Vishvamitra is described addressing Rama alone throughout this teaching, the bala-atibala hymns were imparted to both brothers, not to Rama exclusively.
