Desiraju Hanumanta Rao's prose rendering with embedded explanatory notes
The source glosses 'uurdhva retaH' (of upward-flowing seed) as a technical term for the high hatha-yoga practice in which a yogi retains seminal energy without release and redirects it upward through the body's six plexuses toward the head, a practice believed to produce a divine mental and physical radiance around the practitioner.
