Shloka 1.1

हनुमन्तुरतं ग्त्वा समुद्रं समुपागता: । लन्घनम् सामर्थ्य कृत्वा लन्कां उपाविशत् ।।5.1.1।।

Meaning

Hanuman crossed the vast ocean and reached Lanka with mighty leaps, displaying his miraculous power.

Shloka 1.2

रावणस्या पुरी भाति सुवर्ण कोश्ठाना वरम् । तत्रा सीतां महा देवीम् हनुमन्तुरतश्रय: ।।5.1.2।।

Meaning

The city of Ravana shines with golden palaces. There Hanuman found the great Sita, beloved of Rama.

Shloka 1.3

रावणे समुपावृत्तां सीतां दृष्ट्वा महात्मानम् । सान्त्वय रामाभिप्रेष्टं वार्ता नीत्वा च साध्य त: ।।5.1.3।।

Meaning

Finding Sita in Ravana's captivity, the noble Hanuman comforted her with Rama's message of deliverance.

सीता समचरम् वाक्यं रामावा सम्पाति तः परम् । हनुमन्तुर् ब्रावीताथा सितां सा परमात्मज: ।।5.1.4।।

Sita spoke the truthful words of Rama, and Hanuman, understanding the supreme soul's intention, promised deliverance.
