Hanuman crosses the ocean and reaches Lanka, finding Sita and delivering Rama's message.
हनुमन्तुरतं ग्त्वा समुद्रं समुपागता: । लन्घनम् सामर्थ्य कृत्वा लन्कां उपाविशत् ।।5.1.1।।
Meaning
Hanuman crossed the vast ocean and reached Lanka with mighty leaps, displaying his miraculous power.
रावणस्या पुरी भाति सुवर्ण कोश्ठाना वरम् । तत्रा सीतां महा देवीम् हनुमन्तुरतश्रय: ।।5.1.2।।
Meaning
The city of Ravana shines with golden palaces. There Hanuman found the great Sita, beloved of Rama.
रावणे समुपावृत्तां सीतां दृष्ट्वा महात्मानम् । सान्त्वय रामाभिप्रेष्टं वार्ता नीत्वा च साध्य त: ।।5.1.3।।
Meaning
Finding Sita in Ravana's captivity, the noble Hanuman comforted her with Rama's message of deliverance.
सीता समचरम् वाक्यं रामावा सम्पाति तः परम् । हनुमन्तुर् ब्रावीताथा सितां सा परमात्मज: ।।5.1.4।।
Meaning
Sita spoke the truthful words of Rama, and Hanuman, understanding the supreme soul's intention, promised deliverance.
हनुमान् राम भक्तिं च सीतायाः परमो मत्: । समर्पयति ता वाक्यं रामस्या सम्पाति यां तरत् ।।5.1.5।।
Meaning
Hanuman conveyed Rama's devotion and Sita's plea, bearing the greatest treasures of hope and faith.
हनुमान् लन्कां नीर्गत्वा समुद्रं समुपागता: । रामं परिशमायाथ रावण वाध कार्य त: ।।5.1.6।।
Meaning
Hanuman departed from Lanka and recrossed the ocean, reporting to Rama about the task of destroying Ravana.
रामः श्रुत्वा सीता वार्तां हनुमान्मुख ताः परम् । तुश्ट: कृत्वा हरिना समुद्रं समुपागता: ।।5.1.7।।
Meaning
Rama, hearing the news of Sita from Hanuman's own lips, was pleased and prepared for the final conflict.
रामः समहवं युद्धां रावणाद्धा परमाक्रमे । वानराणां महा सेनाम् आवर्त्य रावण वधा: ।।5.1.8।।
Meaning
Rama assembled a great monkey army and advanced to battle Ravana, ready for the final destruction.
लन्का समर भूमिम् च समुद्र सन्धिवर्तिना: । पूल् या निर्माय समुत्थाय सामर्थ्य कृत्वा राघव: ।।5.1.9।।
Meaning
The monkeys built a bridge across the ocean, demonstrating their incredible might under Rama's command.
सीतां रत्नम् परमम् च रामः प्राप्तव्य दार्शन: । रावण वाध कृत्वा च राघवः कृतकार्तव: ।।5.1.10।।
Meaning
Having obtained the jewel of Sita and vanquished Ravana, Rama fulfilled his purpose and accomplished all his tasks.
